Coulter Services Inc. is the only independent flow meter service company in Ontario
offering complete metering services for mechanical and electrical liquid metering devices. These services
incorporate testing, repairing, calibration and installation of all makes and models of liquid flow meters. In
addition to our main thrust which is concentrated on meters, we also provide measuring and monitoring systems
for water and waste water plants, plumbing and mechanical work for meter retrofitting, batching systems, utility
control and monitoring systems, bulk water dispensers, meter and parts sales and consulting services.
Founded by Mr. Gary Coulter, the company commenced operations in 1984, concentrating on the municipal
industrial, commercial and institutional water meter servicing market.
In 1998, Coulter was acquired by Richard McDuffe who was the company's General Manager and lead field
service individual. Under Richard's ownership, Coulter branched out offering installation services, instrumentation,
magnetic flow metering and increased access to global meter manufacturers.
Coulter service personnel are extensively trained on all makes and models of meter units. Service vehicles are
stocked with a full array of replacement parts, registers and all other material to complete a service order with one
visit only. The company has invested heavily in an inventory of parts, registers and service equipment. Operations
are conducted from a state of the art testing facility currently located in Strathroy, Ontario.
Coulter was acquired by the Erie Thames Solutions group in February 2007 with Mr. McDuffe remaining as the
General Manager. The incorporation of
Coulter into the Erie Thames Group enhances Coulter's ability to provide all the services needed by the customers
in an ever changing regulatory environment.
Coulter's test facility can be viewed here. Coulter will be moving to a new facility in September of 2007.
The new water meter testing rig will be upgraded to the best available in Canada and meet or exceed the manufacturers'
and Measurement Canada's future requirements. Pictures of the new facility will be available on our website upon completion.
Tours of our testing facility and demonstrations can be arranged by contacting us.
